HOW IT COME UP

Wine&Sex is not the result of a previously designed strategy with the aim of creating a transgressive event to attract attention, it arises from the concern to bring the enjoyment of wine to the general public through eroticism, something that has united them for thousands of years.

how it come up

The Idea

We had already done wine tastings with cheeses, chocolates, fashion, philosophy, stars, mathematics, music, cinema, etc., I was already a little bored and looking for more fun and innovation I thought... Would a tasting with erotic products be An Erotic Wine Tasting, right? Eureka!
This sounded great and the name that contained the idea sounded better: Wine&Sex

I told my daughter Bibiana Monje (multidisciplinary artist) about the initiative and months later I met an erotic product advisor, the three of us got together and gave shape to that first edition that proposed a pairing of wine, tapas and erotic products. When it was made public that Bodegas Monje was holding a Wine&Sex Erotic Wine Tasting on July 19, the media and networks did the rest, that day 69 people attended ;)

From that moment on, the event began to evolve, with very little budget, new ideas and selfless collaborators, the concept and popularity grew with each edition. It was time to register the international trademark.

It has been around for 14 years and more than 49 editions with their different themes; FAUST, Alice in Wonderland, Around the World in 80 Days, Rococo, Medieval, London, Frivolité, Átame, Exotica, Erotic Cinema 1900, The Circus, etc., and we are already working on the new edition to be released in spring 2024.
